Sole proprietorship based in Switzerland. Exempt from value added tax (VAT / MWST) under Swiss law, as turnover is below the registration threshold.

Terms & conditions

These terms govern participation in the camps organised by Maccia Outdoor Camp (“Maccia”). By booking a camp you accept them, together with the waiver below.

1. What the camp includes

Included: accommodation in the villa (shared or private room), breakfast, lunch (packed or at the villa) and dinner, guided sports (climbing, hiking, surfing, kayaking), yoga, all transport during the camp and transfers to and from Alghero airport.

Not included: your flight or travel to Alghero, travel and accident insurance, personal expenses and anything not listed as included.

2. Booking

You book by messaging us on WhatsApp or by email. Your booking is confirmed once we send you a written confirmation and receive the deposit.

3. Prices and payment

The camp price is given to you when you book, in euros. Prices are VAT-exempt under Swiss law. A 30% deposit is due when booking; the balance is due no later than 15 days before arrival.

4. Cancellation by you

• Up to 30 days before the camp starts: 100% refund.
• 29 to 15 days before: we keep the deposit.
• Less than 15 days before, or no-show: no refund.

Cancellations must be sent in writing (WhatsApp or email).

5. Cancellation or changes by us

If we have to cancel the camp due to force majeure (for example extreme weather or problems with the accommodation), we refund the full amount paid for the camp. We do not refund flights, travel or other costs incurred by participants.

The programme follows the weather and sea conditions: for everyone’s safety we may change or replace activities. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund.

6. Health and insurance

Every participant must have their own travel and accident insurance valid for the whole camp. Before arrival, please tell us about any allergies, intolerances or physical conditions relevant to the activities or meals.

7. Liability

Surfing, climbing, kayaking and hiking involve risks. You take part at your own risk and agree to follow the guides’ instructions. To the extent permitted by law, Maccia, Mattia Bussu and our collaborators are not liable for injuries, damage or loss of belongings during the camp, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

This contract is governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.

Privacy

This notice explains how we process your personal data, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• First name, last name, email and phone number.
• Booking and payment details.
• Allergies, intolerances or physical conditions you choose to share with us for activities and meals.
• The messages we exchange on WhatsApp or by email.

Why we use it

• To manage your booking and contract.
• To organise the camp in Sardinia (accommodation, activities, meals, transfers).
• To send you information before and after the camp.
• To meet legal obligations, such as accounting.

We use health data only with your consent, and only for your safety and for meals.

Who we share it with

Only with those we need to run the camp, and only as far as necessary: our local partners in Sardinia (hosting, accommodation, guides, equipment rental) and the services we use to communicate, receive payments and host the website. We never sell your data.

Some of these services (for example WhatsApp) may process data outside Switzerland and the European Union; in that case the safeguards required by law apply.

How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as needed to organise the camp and to meet legal obligations (up to 10 years for accounting records). We delete health data once it is no longer needed.

The website

This website does not use profiling cookies or analytics tools. For typefaces it uses Google Fonts: your browser downloads them from Google’s servers, which therefore receive your IP address. The website host may log technical data (such as your IP address) for security purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, object to processing or withdraw your consent: write to ciao@macciacamp.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or with the supervisory authority in your country.

Waiver

Every participant signs this waiver before the camp starts (online when booking, or on paper on arrival at the villa).

I, the undersigned, declare that:

1. I am in good health and fit to take part in sports; I have no conditions (for example heart conditions) that advise against it, and I have told Maccia about any relevant physical condition, allergy or intolerance;
2. I can swim;
3. I understand that surfing, kayaking, climbing and hiking involve risks, including waves, currents, falls, uneven ground and sun exposure, and I accept them;
4. I will follow the guides’ instructions and use the safety equipment provided;
5. I have my own travel and accident insurance valid for the whole camp;
6. to the extent permitted by law, I release Maccia Outdoor Camp, Mattia Bussu and their collaborators (for example guides and instructors) from liability for physical or material damage suffered during the camp, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
